Michael Douglas throat cancer at stage 4
We have heard a bad news that celebrity Michael Douglas throat cancer is already at stage 4. However, this wasn't that bad for him because he is very optimistic that it would be cured.

Michael Douglas said on Tuesday he felt optimistic about recovering from throat cancer but drew gasps when he told a television audience he had the most advanced stage.

The 65-year-old "Wall Street" actor told TV talk-show host David Letterman that a biopsy indicated that his cancer was at stage IV, which he described as "intense, and so they've got to go at it ..."

Letterman asked whether stage IV was a good diagnosis.

"Um no," Douglas replied, according to a transcript provided by CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman."

Stage IV cancer has spread far beyond the original tumor and is usually impossible to cure.

"No, you like to be down at stage I ... but it has not — the big thing you're always worried about is it spreading."

Douglas said he has at least an 80 percent chance of recovery. "And with certain hospitals and everything, it does improve."

According to the National Cancer Institute, patients with stage IV head and neck cancer usually undergo surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.

Douglas told Letterman that his cancer was caused by his drinking and smoking.

He said his throat had been bothering him for a while, and a multitude of doctors put him through a battery of tests in the early summer, but had found nothing.

After a summer break, he underwent a biopsy, which revealed his advanced cancer.

He expressed frustration with the doctors who could not find anything, "because I was on it early in the summer and started complaining about something, but they couldn't see it then."

Douglas is married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, with whom he has two children, Dylan, 10, and Carys, 7.

Obama Speech August 31

Obama Speech August 31
Obama's Speech on August 31 is the center of attraction today. Let's take a look and have a review about his speech. The speech was all about the president's remarks for the end of the combat operations in Iraq.

Although it was President Obama who made the speech, he put more recognition to his predecessor, George W. Bush. He pointed out that even though "he and I disagreed about the war from its outset," "no one could doubt President Bush's support for our troops, or his love of country and commitment to our security."

"As I have said, there were patriots who supported this war, and patriots who opposed it," he said. "And all of us are united in appreciation for our servicemen and women, and our hopes for Iraqis' future."

That's not to say Mr. Obama cast the war in a positive light. In his other mention of Mr. Bush, he noted that the former president, who he has harshly criticized over starting a war he in 2002 referred to as "dumb," announced the beginning of combat operations in Iraq from the same Oval Office desk where he was delivering his remarks.

"Much has changed since that night," he said. "A war to disarm a state became a fight against an insurgency. Terrorism and sectarian warfare threatened to tear Iraq apart. Thousands of Americans gave their lives; tens of thousands have been wounded. Our relations abroad were strained. Our unity at home was tested."

Before giving the speech, Mr. Obama called Mr. Bush to mark the end of combat operations; neither the White House nor Mr. Bush's camp would disclose what the two men discussed. Denis McDonough, chief of staff for Obama's National Security Council, would say only that the president felt it "important to reach out to President Bush."

Some had actually speculated that Beck wants to run for office in the upcoming election. However, as the website is clearing its aims, it appears that Beck just wants to increase his status in media.

"The Blaze" is a site that will cover controversial topics concerning America today. Beck was helped in his launch of the website due to his celebrity status, and he has employed some of the best writers in the business; both left and right wing.

He said that he wanted his site to be a source for breaking news, original articles and insightful opinions. It will be interesting to see how quickly the website garners an audience. Beck, who has worked as an anchor and personality for Fox News for most of his career, is a controversial figure on his own.

His recent "restoring honor" rally garnered a lot of attention from the media, and Beck has cited the coverage as one of his reasons for creating his own website.

Teresa Giudice Nephew Revelation
Many have been questioning about the true person of Teresa Giudice's Nephew. Anyone among you knows it?

The question arises when she was asked about it in the Real Housewives reunion. The inquiry eventually brought Guidice into a fit last Monday.

Staub was actually the first one who asked about"acknowledging" her nephew.

Giudice replied positively at first but after few breaths, she went like a wild animal. The question perhaps was the reason for that.

"Do not bring up my family. Do not bring up my family!" These are the words that Teresa shouted against Staub. Teresa was almost uncontrollable saying explicit words on TV. You could almost say if you are watching at that time that she is really affected by the question. "Is there something wrong?" This might be your question too.
